The Director of Human Resources will serve as a strategic HR leader and partner to executive and senior management across the operations organization, providing hands-on support to HR Business Partners and the field. This role is responsible for building, implementing, and overseeing HR processes and programs that align with the company’s growth through mergers and acquisitions, talent needs, and cultural initiatives. The Director will ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains talent at all levels while promoting diversity and inclusion. Additionally, the Director will supervise the HR team, drive HR strategy, and ensure compliance with all employment regulations.

Develop and execute strategies to attract, onboard, and retain talent at all levels, partnering closely with leadership to meet workforce needs in multiple regions and industries. Build and maintain talent "feeder pools" and partnerships with schools, veteran organizations, and other industry networks. Serve as a strategic partner to executive and senior management, providing guidance on HR practices, change management, talent development, and cultural alignment. Lead HR Business Partners and support the field to ensure seamless HR service delivery. Implement organizational structure changes and succession planning strategies as needed, supporting business continuity as the company grows through mergers and acquisitions. Collaborate with the leadership team to maintain a standardized performance management and compensation structure across all locations. Foster and maintain strong relationships with employees and human resource constituents. Provide overall guidance in employee relations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Stay informed of industry trends and advise on best practices to ensure a fair, inclusive, and compliant workplace. Support and improve the talent planning process. Lead the development of performance management systems and employee development programs, recommending and implementing training and professional growth opportunities across the organization. Drive cultural alignment and change management initiatives to ensure consistency and continuity as the company expands. Lead efforts to enhance employee engagement and reinforce company values across all levels. Collaborate with Marketing to enhance recruitment efforts through social media and brand recognition strategies. Actively participate in industry networks and associations to promote the Lewis Tree Service brand and broaden the talent pipeline. Supervise and develop the HR team, providing mentorship and support to ensure the delivery of HR services that align with the company’s strategic goals. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree or HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on strategic leadership, talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development. Prior experience leading HR teams and managing human resources in a multi-location or multi-state organization, preferably in industries with diverse labor needs
Salary range $137,000 - $171,000
