The Director of Human Resources is a trusted advisor to all levels of the business, with a key role in aligning people’s strategies with the overall goals of Marmon Retail Solutions. With a professional and collaborative approach, this position partners with business unit leadership to provide strategic guidance on organizational and workforce matters. In addition to delivering HR services, the HR Business Partner drives the implementation of key HR programs that support the business unit's success and contribute to the broader company strategy.

In partnership with Corporate and Group HR COEs, the Director of Human Resources will own and provide leadership and oversight in areas including employee relations, employee acquisition and retention, local compensation and benefits, HRCM/records management, learning and development, talent management and succession planning, investigations, and ensuring compliance.

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Enhancing and fostering a culture consistent with the values of the company.Providing end-to-end operational HR leadership, including employee engagement, learning & development, performance management, and workforce planning.Implementing policies, procedures, and programs that assess organizational effectiveness, resources, and talent.Developing effective and creative programs for hiring, onboarding, and key talent development.Leading the HR team by inspiring the delivery of great service, providing candid input, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Evaluating and continuously improving the organizational learning & development strategy, with the goal of optimizing the talents and skills of the employee population.Providing organizational leadership around culture assessment and development; introducing and managing organizational change and development initiatives.Collaborating and consulting with The Marmon Group to ensure all policies and procedures are in alignment with Marmon and Berkshire Hathaway.Administering/overseeing the administration of HR programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.Monitoring and ensuring Marmon’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommending best practices; reviewing and modifying policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, HRIS, talent management, and employment law; applying this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.Developing and implementing a departmental budget.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in HR leadership roles, preferably in manufacturing environment.Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required, master’s degree preferred.PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.

A successful candidate will possess the following:

In-depth understanding of key human resources functions, including talent acquisition, development, continuous learning, business partnerships, and performance management.Proven leadership abilities with a focus on building and guiding a high-performing team.Experience in shaping and executing HR strategies with a hands-on approach.Expertise in HRIS systems, with a preference for experience in Workday.Strategic and confident management approach, supported by strong business acumen and experience.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.Proven time management, consistently meeting deadlines.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.Flexible and adaptable to the evolving needs of both the organization and its employees.Comprehensive knowledge of Arkansas state and federal employment laws and regulations.
