Description
Chris Preble is working with a Utica client of his that has a Director of HR hiring need. This organization has outstanding benefits, 401k match, performance bonus and other perks. This is a very low turnover HR department that also has good work life balance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all Human Resources functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a productive and inclusive workforce. The role involves the management of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and organizational development to align HR strategies with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives in line with the company’s overall business strategy
• Manage employee relations, resolve grievances, and mediate workplace conflicts to maintain a positive work environment
• Oversee the hiring processes from recruitment to onboarding and retention of employees to maintain a skilled and engaged workforce
• Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and compliance
• Design and implement performance management systems to support employee growth and company goals
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Lead organizational development initiatives to enhance company culture, employee engagement, and leadership development
• Monitor and analyze HR metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
+ Manage payroll staff
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is desirable.
+ Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
