JOB OVERVIEW
MartinFed has an opening for a Director of Human Resources to join our team of talented and diverse individuals. This role will directly support our growing company in our corporate office in Huntsville, AL. The Director of Human Resources originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. This candidate should be comfortable handling multiple priority tasks at one time, to include but not limited to, Human Resources compliance, Benefits, Talent Management and Talent Acquisition.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Builds and implements core HR processes, including performance management and coaching, succession planning, talent acquisition, change management, and culture.
+ Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance.
+ Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
+ Functions as a strategic, human capital business advisor to the leadership team.
+ Oversee Employee Engagement strategies and activities to ensure MartinFed is continually assessing and improving its management and leadership practices ensuring a highly engaged workforce.
+ Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters.
+ Supervise HR and Talent Acquisition teams.
+ Oversee benefit and compensation plans to ensure cost efficiencies and attractiveness to retain top talent.
+ Establish and track quantitative metrics and goals for employee growth, engagement, and retention.
+ Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organizations at hearings.
+ Maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
+ Coordinates administrative and logistical details associated with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department; coaches, develops and motivates subordinate staff to achieve goal, objectives, and professional growth.
+ Reviews progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency, and checks for supportive documentation and is accountable for determining appropriate action.
+ Develop and oversee implementation and maintaining of HR systems, processes, policies, and infrastructure that deliver strategic objectives.
+ Build on our internal HR processes around onboarding, pay & benefits, performance, talent & success planning so that every interaction is of the highest quality.
+ Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements, advise management on needed actions to remain compliant.
QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Additional education can be substituted for years of experience.
+ 8+ years of People or HR experience.
+ 5+ year of management experience.
+ SHRM-CP required
+ Extensive knowledge of human resource procedures, policies, federal/state laws and regulations, and employee benefit programs.
+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
+ Comfortable using data / quantitative analysis to identify and understand problems, and influencing stakeholders to drive action.
+ Experience with creating a culture of engagement, collaboration, and teamwork.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
+ Teamwork and collaboration skills.

+ Desire to learn and improve performance.
+ Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Experience with FAR/DFAR and/or other federal capture regulations and processes.
+ Experience with JAMIS is a plus.
+ Experience with SCA is a plus.
+ Experience with foreign visas, CRC deployment, and SOFA approval process is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
+ General office environment.
+ The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Some walking, standing, bending, reaching, and carrying of light items such as papers and books.
+ Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment.
