General Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Chief Philanthropy Officer, the Director of Individual Giving advances BGCSM’s mission by raising funds through individual giving. The Director works to plan and execute the cultivation, stewardship and personal solicitation of individual donors and prospects, including major and planned gifts.

General Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Chief Philanthropy Officer, the Director of Individual Giving advances BGCSM’s mission by raising funds through individual giving. The Director works to plan and execute the cultivation, stewardship and personal solicitation of individual donors and prospects, including major and planned gifts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
In partnership with the CPO, develop and implement a comprehensive individual giving strategy aligned with the organization's fundraising goals. Create annual and multi-year plans to cultivate, solicit and steward individual donors with specific, measurable goals.Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:
Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individual donors. Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential donors. through personalized communication, events and other engagement opportunities. Ensure timely and meaningful acknowledgment of donations.Prospect Research:
Conduct research to identify potential major donors and develop strategies for their involvement and support. Analyze donor data to tailor solicitations and engagement efforts.Collaboration:
Work closely with other fundraising team members, program staff, and leadership to coordinate efforts and ensure a unified approach to fundraising. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create compelling materials for donor outreach.Data Management:
Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization's database. Track and report on progress toward fundraising goals.Events and Campaigns:
Establish and cultivate Giving Societies for select donors in different giving segments. Plan and execute donor cultivation and appreciation events. Design and execute the Annual and Back to School campaigns. Lead and champion employee giving initiatives. Qualifications RequirementsQualifications:
Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred.Demonstrated success in securing major gifts. Strong understanding of fundraising principles and best practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and key stakeholders. Strategic thinking and planning skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Experience with donor databases and fundraising software (Donor Perfect or Salesforce a plus)Inclusion at BGCSM:
