TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:12 Month Position, Full Time
STARTING DATE:February 2025
SALARY RANGE: $120,000 - $140,000 per year

Description:
This senior administrative role at Monroe One BOCES reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and Technology. The Director leads and secures BOCES informational and service systems, focusing on integrating efficient, standardized technology solutions. Responsibilities include developing, installing, and integrating platforms, programs, and policies for all information systems, as well as providing technical and process support for planning, acquisition, implementation, policies, training, and maintenance across the Monroe One BOCES Region. Collaboration with all organizational areas is essential to support strategic initiatives and core functions.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the School Board, District Superintendent, Assistant/Deputy Superintendents, and departmental directors to achieve organizational goals and targets.
· Work with administrative and instructional leaders to promote current and emerging educational technologies for student learning and BOCES services.
· Develop and support initiatives to protect and secure student, teacher, and staff data.
· Implement and enhance secure educational workflow systems and processes.
· Design new service components and develop enhancements following NYSED regulations, NIST Cyber Security Framework, and best practices.
· Identify, develop, test, implement, and maintain data systems supporting educational goals and policies.
· Evaluate information system programs using BOCES data and metrics.
· Ensure efficient data flow and protection of sensitive student and staff data.
· Consult with staff, customers, vendors, administrators, and experts to assess computing needs and system requirements.
· Review and evaluate project plans and technical documentation.
· Set and communicate schedules and deadlines for IT projects.
· Assign and coordinate resources based on organizational priorities.
· Oversee documentation systems and associated training needs.
· Assist with vendor selection and development of IT-related contracts aligned with organizational and regulatory guidelines.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION:
New York State Certification for School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL) and experience in administering information and/or educational technology systems in a public school district
and at least five (5) years as a teacher or administrator in a public school district.
