Director of Internal Communications
**Job Description** Aramark?s Director of Internal Communications reports to the Vice President of Internal Communications and works with others on the Corporate Communications team and across Aramark to support the company?s business strategy and functional initiatives through a variety of internal communications channels. The Director is responsible for developing, leading, and executing communications strategies and plans to keep Aramark employees engaged and focused on the company?s mission. The role also encompasses leadership communications, and the candidate may be called upon to counsel corporate leaders regarding communication about making business strategy relevant to the work of the Aramark teams around the world. This role is diverse in nature, requiring experience and skills across diverse disciplines, including project management, writing, editing, digital content, planning and coordination of live events, change communications, and research and measurement. The ideal candidate is a seasoned communications professional with strong communications experience, preferably in a corporate setting, who can function independently with good business judgment, professional maturity, and the ability to provide equal measures of strategic and tactical implementation. **Job Responsibilities** ? Develop and execute integrated communications plans, including editorial strategy, messaging, tactics, and measurement to engage employees?from the C-suite to the front line?and inspire them to deliver on Aramark?s business priorities ? Serve as the editorial lead for all internal communications tools, projects, and owned channels. ? Partner with the Director/Senior Director, Internal Communications and other members of the internal communications team to develop key messages, themes and campaigns tailored to specific audiences and leverage appropriate channels to maximize impact ? Work collaboratively with senior executives to coach, influence and translate their ideas into effective communications. This includes counsel on a wide range of communications topics ? Identify, write, and edit a diverse range of sophisticated executive-level and enterprise-wide communications, including speeches, talking points, correspondence, and corporate news ? Serves as a key business partner to Human Resources, the ESG team, Investor Relations, and other corporate business leads to communicate important news, information, and policies to all employees ? Provides guidance and coordination among key internal and external partners to plan and execute strategic events for targeted audiences at all levels of the organization ? Works with Corporate Communications colleagues and other internal/external business communicators and corporate functions to ensure alignment on messaging, timing, and proper execution to drive a consistent and cohesive narrative across all internal audiences. ? Oversees editorial governance of Aramark?s corporate intranet. ? Research industry and market trends, identifying compelling ideas and themes and bringing them to life through practical application. ? Provides strategic counsel and develops content for the executive leadership team to ensure alignment on priorities, messaging, and key tactics. ? Monitor, track, and analyze communications metrics to measure reach and impact of communications efforts. ? Identify and create employee feedback channels to understand how messages reach employees, and leverage data to use for use in future planning and overall product/project improvements. ? Demonstrates strong understanding of business priorities and operations and how to connect them to the corporate strategy, brand, and reputation ? Possesses outstanding writing skills and applies them to key platforms, including the corporate intranet, digital signage, corporate email messaging, executive communications, and other key channels. ? Applies strategic communications planning to key enterprise initiatives in tandem with executive sponsors, initiative owners, and other subject matter experts across lines of business and functions. ? Networks and collaborates effectively with other members of the Corporate Communications team and throughout the organization. ? Consistently models Aramark?s values, including a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion ? Demonstrates flexibility, resiliency, and willingness to pursue different paths to achieve an outcome **Qualifications** + 10+ years of corporate communications experience, primarily in employee engagement/internal communications and change management. + Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, along with knowledge of emerging communications trends and technologies. + Action-oriented mindset and ability to create and execute strategic and tactical plans that deliver results. + Experience working in companies with global scope, a remote employee workforce, and diverse lines of business and employee groups preferred + Experience with Microsoft?s technology stack including SharePoint, Teams, Viva (and/or their equivalents) highly preferred + Ability to be flexible and meet deadlines. + Ability to manage multiple complex projects with a sense of urgency. + A passion to serve a company and its team members. + Experience with a variety of communications vehicles, including social media, print, visual, digital, and face-to-face communications, and how to use them effectively in disseminating information and direction to employees. + Ability to identify, build, and maintain relationships with all levels of the organization.
