Position Overview:

The Director of IT TRISTAR Managed Care (TMC) is accountable for the IT project objectives that drive transformation, customer experience, and other activities as assigned by the SVP of TMC and the TRISTAR CIO.

The Director of IT TMC will lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT projects focused on integrating Third-Party Applications with TRISTAR Claim Systems and Finance Applications for TMC direct clients and TRISTAR TPA Clients. This role requires extensive experience in IT Development and Project Management.  A strong ability to work with application owners and interface teams. The Director of IT TMC will collaborate with various stakeholders, including Corporate IT, clinical staff, and external vendors, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of third-party applications.

They are responsible for defining areas including resource allocations, influencing sponsors, and managing work prioritization. They play an active role in making decisions involving human resources, and technical and financial resources necessary to implement change for high-impact environments.    

In addition, they will be a contributor to early engagement, project gap analysis, and operational change management. This will include innovation project lifecycle delivery, promoting successful relationship management, and customer adoption. They are expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of the project management lifecycle methodology. They are assigned to medium or large projects. Will be assigned to multiple projects some of which may be assigned from Corporate IT.

The role is a key contributor in the development of the organization’s transformation strategy and is responsible and accountable for delivering the best-practice approach designed to successfully plan and prepare for all aspects of project engagement, delivery, and adoption within the assigned portfolio.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

Key resource for the TMC organization encompassing the development of relationships between IT and the organization’s multiple customer constituencies, including patients, consumers, providers, clinical staff, administrators, and employees across TRISTAR.  This position is vital to the organization's efficient operation in terms of well-managed systems that will ensure the financial success and ability to cope with the pressures of shrinking revenues, and our market strategy to grow and expand into the future.  Responsible for establishing and maintaining channels of communication between business, IT, and other relevant stakeholders.  Responsible for developing project plans that identify key issues, problems, approaches, performance metrics, communication plans, and resources required, and ensuring deliverables of the CCAD initiatives.  Responsible for the supervision of the project resources within TMC Responsible for managing all aspects of the project from planning, design, development/implementation, testing, training, and deployment. Tracks assigned budget and resources for each project.  Prepares cost estimates and cost recommendations. Monitors expenditures. Ensures compliance with all policies, and financial stewardship by being accountable for the financial integrity around the development and maintenance of project budget.   Ability to develop online reporting tools, such as program dashboards, in order to track operational as well as financial results.
