\nPosition Statement:
\nThe Director of Leisure Sales is responsible for the overall Leisure strategy for the hotel, using analytics and data to anticipate market trends and identify new opportunities with new leisure partners. Reporting to the hotel’s Executive Director of Sales and Commercial Director to create a long-term vision for the hotel’s leisure playbook and leading the Leisure Sales team to expand existing relationships and solicit new customer accounts, while consistently striving to maximize revenue and promote relationships through effective negotiation of guest rooms for the Hotel del Coronado. This role also owns all initiatives and tactics to grow the lucrative Entertainment business for the hotel’s Shore House and Beach Village neighborhoods.
\nPosition Summary:
\n\nLead the existing Leisure sales team members to develop and implement business plan for top accounts focusing on inbound business to the San Diego and Coronado Markets with a high volume of sales leads and working with customers in multiple time zones.\nResponsible for team goals, performance reviews, incentive payout calculations.\nAttend weekly Marketing/Revenue/Commercial meetings to ensure hotel is staying ahead of the booking window and launching initiatives pro-actively.\nManage travel calendar and expenses for the Leisure sales team members.\nApprove team member requests for PTO.\nWork with Executive Director of Sales, Commercial Director, and Revenue team to provide accurate forecasts and market trends.\nInitiate and create opportunities for marketing promotions and provide monthly reports on the ROI of leisure marketing campaigns, partner promotions, and market capture against the comp set.\nResponsible for creating and maintaining roadmaps for the Leisure Sales focused on driving managed transient segment, account management, travel and entertainment, specific strategy and actions to grow market share.\nWork closely with the Leisure Sales and Marketing team to develop, maintain, and implement marketing plans and initiatives for key accounts.\nSolicit and develop new Consortia and Wholesale accounts to generate business opportunities for the Hotel del Coronado.\nTravel to meet and develop client base as necessary including trainings, tradeshow participation, FAM trips, and retail travel agencies.\nEstablish and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts through ongoing communication.\nPartner closely with all related departments such as Revenue Management, Marketing, group sales, e-commerce, and Operations to help guide overall property strategies and tactics as appropriate.\nContinually uncover business opportunities including group tour and entertainment business.\nOther project and business development activities as directed by management.\nManage property specific promotions, annual Consortia/FIT/LNR/CNR RFPS, contracts and relevant communications to accounts.\nWhat are we looking for?

\nThe annual salary range for this role is $145K to $155K and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
