Objectives\n
This position will be responsible for developing and leading the implementation of programs designed to improve total productive maintenance within Million Air (Houston). The individual will perform all duties to support the plant's safety, environment, quality, and reliability standards. The individual will also be the facility resource of innovative technology, standards and practices in the maintenance and reliability field and profession. Coordination and communication with the general manager of facility operations, maintenance, engineering, etc. are critical to the success of the facility's reliability, track's engineering expense & budgeting to meet forecast for assigned projects. Assist other various departments to guarantee proper design, installation, modification & maintainability of new & existing equipment, buildings & facilities. Responsibilities and Duties\n\nResponsible for ensuring all projects are completed in a safe and timely manner as not to affect the customer or team member experience.\nReview engineering documentation, vendor submittals, fabrication drawings and other submittals for compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, good engineering practice, and project objectives.\n\n\nManage and lead the root cause analysis for all major equipment failures and as directed by plant leadership.\nOversee the Planning and Scheduling of plant maintenance activities in a weekly plant scheduling meeting and manage the plant's turnaround work.\nOversee and coordinate the broad array of facility-related maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical. painting, masonry, and strategic planning and execution of new constructions, architectural and design activities.\n\n\nConduct inspections of hanger and grounds identifying maintenance and safety problems implementing corrective action as needed.\nSchedule work order, place vendor bids for materials, select vendors and prepare requisitions.\nCoordinate Lean initiatives in the maintenance area for the plant.\n\n\nCoordinate the training and development of maintenance planners.\nSupport safety culture and awareness in accordance with existing safety policies that result in zero chemical exposure, zero accidents. \n\n\nMaintain OSHA Safety Standards and other policies and procedure of Million Air.\nAct as a liaison with state and local officials having regulatory oversight and inspection responsibilities.\nProvide maintenance and upkeep of the building interior and exterior. Ensure the entire facility is kept in \"new\" condition. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules.\n\n
Competencies\n\nAbility to communicate effectively & present information, both verbally & written at all levels of organization.\n\n\nKnowledge of OSHA regulations, state of the art safety practices and governmental regulations\/practices.\nMust have knowledge of industry standards such as NFPA, OSHA, ASME, API, etc. & be able to problem solve.\nSolid understanding of rotating equipment, pumps, and agitators, pump curves & piping systems, machine design & process design including blueprint reading, process flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams.\nAbility to understand electrical or mechanical diagrams.\nBroad knowledge of fundamentals and good knowledge of principles and practices in project management and drafting.\nAdvanced time management and analytical skills.\nAbility to use appropriate computer-based technology including Microsoft tools, interpret & create technical CAD drawings & schematics. \nHigh mechanical aptitude.\n\n

Reporting Relationship This position reports to the General Manager Work Environment This position works outside in all types of weather conditions with possible contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft. This position may be exposed to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, to include but not limited to:\n\nMust be able to lift 75 pounds\nPossible exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery\nOutside work in all types of weather conditions\nPosition requires bending, lifting, walking, stooping, squatting, gripping and climbing a ladder.\n\n

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a non-exempt position This position may require working evenings and weekends, and on scheduled company holidays. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Education, Experience, and Eligibility Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree or in lieu of degree 10 or more years if experience in engineering\/maintenance management in an industrial environment. \n\n\n5 or more years' experience in engineering\/maintenance management in an industrial environment. \n3 or more years of experience with equipment design, project engineering, plant management preferred.\n3+ years of experience in maintenance preferred. \nExperience leading and influencing others in a maintenance, engineering, and contract labor environment, preferred.\nPreventive and predictive maintenance techniques and their application.\nExperience in implementing reliability centered maintenance principles.\nKnowledge of the design and maintenance of rotating, reciprocating and fixed equipment.\nProject management, specifically capital projects preferred.\nExposure to cross functional areas such as: Planning, scheduling, tracking, evaluation, and reporting.\n\n
