The Director of Marketing plays a critical role in driving our market presence and growth. This position will oversee the development and execution of digital strategies—including social media, website management, and SEO—to increase brand awareness and generate leads. In addition, the Director will oversee events and establish a customer marketing function. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our success and expanding our influence in the market.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesDemand Generation. Unlike traditional B2B companies, our demand generation is low volume but high impact. We focus on generating highly qualified, targeted leads who are well educated on the problem we solve and how we solve it. As such, we need to run sophisticated campaigns, leverage the right channels and deploy increasingly sophisticated approaches to attract and speak to our audience.
Develop and implement a demand generation strategy that yields high value leads. Establish and track KPIs and leading indicators, and provide regular progress reporting as part of these campaigns Own the strategy and execution of lead nurture to maximize the value of generated leads by activating our database. Lead our SEO and CRO efforts to capture more audience share, drive more website traffic, and improve conversions.Brand Awareness. Brand awareness is one of three brand pillars at Decision Lens, along with Brand Authority and Brand Necessity. Developing awareness with our target audience extends beyond digital channels to include events, associations, analog channels, and more.
Build brand awareness through a thoughtful strategy including thought leadership, public relations, events, and social media activities. Identify creative ways to reach our target audience while standing out and minimizing wasted spend. Partner with our customer success team to develop a steady stream of customer success stories to drive interest and validation of our software. Identify media partners, programs, and campaigns that would allow us additional channels to reach our target audiences.Customer & Partner Marketing.
Develop, resource, and launch a customer marketing strategy which will lead to a new, highly valuable lead channel for the company. Partner with our channel team to develop co-branded go-to-market strategies with top-tier partners to drive awareness and interest in our joint offerings.Leadership.
Develop a best-in-class team, ensuring the team is well rounded and has the skills and capabilities to meet the needs of Decision Lens. Influence the buildout of the martech stack to ensure marketing campaigns and tactics can be measured, constantly iterated, and scaled. Establish KPIs and regularly report on the performance of public sector marketing initiatives. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and demonstrate ROI. Job Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B or B2G marketing, with a proven track record of success. Full stack marketing exposure, including (but not limited to) digital campaigns, SEO, nurture, brand campaigns, and collateral development. Experience creating and executing programs that increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and generate leads. Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with strong proficiency in budgeting and time management. Experience and a strong understanding of marketing data and analytics to demonstrate ROI and inform future strategies. Creative, innovative, and resourceful with a get-it-done mentality. Experience with tools such as Canva, Google Analytics, and HubSpot is preferred. Travel: Occasional travel is required.Location: Decision Lens is based in the Arlington, VA area, however, this is a remote position.
