Director of Marketing & Communications Council: Girl Scouts Of South Carolina-Mountains To Midlands Job Location: SC - Columbia Salary Range: $85,000 - $DOE (Annually) Employment Type: Full-Time (Regular) Job #: 8433 Post Date: 1/28/2025 Job Summary We have a key leadership position available at the Cathy Novinger Girl Scout Leadership Center, Columbia, SC for a Director of Marketing and Communications. This position is responsible for developing and implementing innovative and integrated marketing strategies designed to increase awareness for the Girl Scout brand and program. This position represents and promotes the council by increasing its visibility and reputation and advancing its mission, vision, and goals. The Director of Marketing and Communications has overall responsibility for communications, messaging, marketing, and branding activity for the council. Oversees the day-to-day and strategic management of media and public relations, website design and content, marketing, and advertising as well as social media and crisis communication. The Director of Marketing and Communications is the advocacy liaison for the council and is the point of contact for state and federal legislators. Job Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree is preferred in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field with advanced education preferred. Will consider relevant years in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field. • A minimum of 5 years of successful management experience, preferably with a nonprofit or membership-based agency in the functional areas of marketing, communications, advertising, and PR. • Strong verbal and cognitive communication skills. • Must have experience in digital marketing, content creation, storytelling, and data-driven campaign management.
