Position Summary:

A strong marketer and leader with a proven record of shaping and driving insights-based brand strategy to lead Direct to Consumer and Patient Marketing for SOTYKTU in plaque psoriasis (PsO), as well as the upcoming launch in Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA). SOTYKTU is a flagship brand for BMS and has the potential to be a blockbuster, as a first-in-class, selective TYK2 inhibitor. The Director of Patient Marketing will lead consumer marketing and promotional strategy, drive key commercial projects from strategy through execution including the direct to consumer media budget, strategy and plan, and will collaborate with cross-functional leaders across Omnichannel, Sales, Training, Medical, Market Access, Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A), Patient Advocacy, Corporate Communications and Patient Access Support Services (PASS) to ensure robust strategic planning and strong execution to accelerate growth of SOTYKTU. 

This individual will lead a team of direct reports, with a focus on coaching, developing, and building positive culture within the team. The Director of Patient Marketing will also play an integral role in the identification and hiring of key talent across the US SOTYKTU marketing team.

We are looking for a dynamic, performance-driven leader with a challenger mindset, who cultivates a team-based, collaborative environment that promotes innovation and appropriate risk taking.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver the SOTYKTU patient marketing plan in Psoriasis that accelerates SOTYKTU growth in a hyper-competitive category

Lead the early strategic framework and go to market plan for SOTYKTU in Psoriatic Arthritis for patient marketing

Provide commercial input on cross-matrix activities, ensuring consistent, on-strategy execution of brand priorities within each function

Foster strong collaborative working relationships with SOTYKTU leadership team

Collaborate with matrix partners to identify customer insights, and address opportunities and barriers through clear action plans

Partner with BI&A and Omnichannel Strategy partners to optimize DTC Marketing Mix & Channel Selection

Effectively analyze customer insights, brand performance, market trends, & competitive response to inform strategic plans that capitalize on prioritized business opportunities

Develop and grow direct reports and model the BMS Talent Philosophy

Effectively partner with Patient AOR, providing clear expectations, guidance, and feedback to agency, ensuring rigor in marketing excellence

Oversee the execution of a brand plan that delivers high-quality, strategic resources on time and within budget

Qualifications and Experience:

BS/BA degree required. MBA preferred. 

8 years of pharmaceutical experience with a minimum of 5 years of marketing experience. 

Previous patient marketing experience in a competitive environment is preferred. 

Understanding of the dermatology and rheumatology marketplace is recommended but not required; relevant Immunology experience is a plus. 

Proven record of leading and being the champion of commercial strategy. 

Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and connect interrelated activities across the matrix to deliver impactful results. The ability to identify commercial gaps and engage necessary stakeholders to develop a comprehensive plan of action will be critical for the successful candidate to demonstrate. 

Previous people leadership experience, with a record of success in developing talent and building winning teams. 

Ability to develop and manage strong customer relationships. 

Highly skilled in translating insights into sound marketing actions and business recommendations. 

Demonstrated willingness to push and evolve the organization with creative thinking and capability building

Strong ability to effectively drive performance within a matrix organization with exceptional organizational, interpersonal communication skills and executive presence required.
