United Methodist Communities is currently seeking a Director of Memory Care Services for Bristol Glen Senior Care Community located in Newton, NJ. Bristol Glen, Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is a thoughtfully designed to provide person directed care in a home-like environment to ensure exceptional care and quality of life for our residents. The Director of Memory Support Services, is a dynamic and engaging individual who is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling all functions and activities of the Memory Support Community. The Director will lead and manage the community in accordance with customer needs, government regulations and UMC mission, vision, policy, and procedures while achieving business and financial objectives. In this role there is also responsibility for inspections, surveys, resident assessment process completion while creating and implementing a program that allows those with memory impairment to live a fulfilling life! Requirements for a Director of Memory Support Services: + Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Gerontology, Education,Psychology or Social Work (or related degree) + Master's Degree preferred. + Two or more years' experience with Alzheimer's/Dementia Resident Care. + Experience or knowledge of Long Term Care Programs and Services. Responsibilities for a Director of Memory Support Services: + Supervise the implementation of all planned and scheduled programs and care of residents. + Ensures that resident's rights are maintained at all times. Participates in surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies. Directs MSR resident care with the resident and family members. + Directs resident and family educational activities in MSR residencies. + Plans, prepares and monitors MSR budget. + Performs personnel functions, including, but not limited to: hiring, staffing, scheduling, associate evaluations and associate disciplines.
