Director of Nursing, Glacier Hills
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** Glacier Hills Senior Living Community is seeking a **Director of Nursing** who is passionate about providing excellent care to our residents while creating a fun and rewarding work environment for our staff. As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee the nursing staff, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care while also creating an atmosphere that fosters job satisfaction and personal growth. Responsibilities: + Supervise the nursing staff, providing direction and support to ensure that all residents receive high-quality care. + Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and promote best practices in nursing. + Manage staffing levels and schedules to ensure that all shifts are adequately staffed, and our residents receive timely and efficient care. + Collaborate with other departments to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care, including coordinating with the activities department to provide fun and engaging activities for our residents. + Evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching to support their professional development and growth. + Create a positive work environment that fosters job satisfaction and teamwork. + Work with the Executive Director to manage the nursing department's budget, ensuring that we are operating efficiently and effectively. Qualifications: + Active RN license in the state of Michigan. + 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a long-term care setting. + Demonstrated knowledge of nursing best practices, regulations, and standards of care. + Excellent leadership and communication skills. + Ability to create a positive work environment and foster teamwork. + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome challenges. + Comfortable using technology to manage schedules and maintain records. **Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion** Trinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare systems in the nation.
