Director of Nursing Services (DON) - Full-Time ABCM Corporation - Lake Mills Care Center and Mills Harbour Independent & Assisted Living (https://abcmcorporation.easyapply.co) Lake Mills, IA $70000.00 to $80000.00 per year Summary Under the direction of the Administrator: + Plans for and directs the nursing care, treatments, procedures, and other health-related services to meet resident needs and personal preferences + Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and current nursing standards of practice + Assists with the supervision, development, and implementation of a written healthcare plan in cooperation with other disciplines and in accordance with physician orders + Supervises / reviews preventative and restorative nursing care for each resident in order to achieve and maintain the highest possible degree of function, self-care, and independence + Oversees the recruitment, hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluation of nursing department employees to ensure adequate numbers of qualified staff members are on duty at all times + Ensures that adequate quantities of [in good repair] nursing equipment and needed supplies are readily available to nursing staff members + Oversees medical records in compliance with licensing, HIPAA, and professional standards + In conjunction with the Administrator, oversees admission and discharge reviews and decisions Qualifications / Requirements + Must have an unrestricted and active Iowa (or compact state) RN license + Minimum of one (1) year of experience, preferably in Geriatric Nursing, along with management experience in leading a healthcare team desirable + Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language + Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable Additional Information Job Type: Full-Time Shift/Schedule: Days, Flexible Scheduling; approx. forty (40) hours/wk; comprehensive training program available for the right candidate, regardless of experience!
