You will be aligned to the Tipper Tie Product line and responsible for managing manufacturing operations at 2 facilities in Apex, NC. As our Director of Operations– you will report to the President of the Division. You will have direct reports to include: managers of Safety, Quality, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Continuous Improvement. On a given day, you may: You will manage performance through the development of short and long-term operating goals. Set standards for safety, continuous improvement, quality, cost reduction, and production efficiency. You will be responsible for financial performance. You will develop the leadership team. Promote a positive culture of employee recognition and career advancement. Maintain a site that is an employer of choice in the area. Ensure a progressive workforce. Encourage autonomy and promote our values Customer-focused on improvement based on feedback with regard to delivery time, quality, cost, service, and responsiveness. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Requirements for the role Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Business, Engineering, or technical field Required. 10+ years of increasingly responsible manufacturing experience and direct management experience. Direct experience building and instilling a "the best" operations environment. Experience developing Lean practices and measurable actions plans for manufacturing improvement Experience leading supply chain and planning Experience applying Lean Methodology principles within manufacturing Collaborative management style which builds teamwork culture. Experience financial principles for operations, including firm understanding of cost, inventory, and P&L. Background in industry standard safety processes. Experience with multi-site leadership in high-volume and engineered production manufacturing environment Travel & Location Travel of up to 20% required to attend business meetings This role is onsite #LI-Onsite This is not a hybrid role #LI-SH1 Why work at JBT ...
