Situated on the iconic shores of Lake Michigan, our property is a destination for travelers seeking modern sophistication in the heart of Chicago. Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Operations to lead and elevate the operational excellence of our hotel. Reporting to the General Manager, this key leadership role will oversee the day-to-day operations of all departments, ensuring seamless service delivery, team engagement, and financial performance. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of departments including Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Engineering. Ensure all operations align with brand standards and deliver a consistent, high-quality guest experience. Team Development: Inspire, mentor, and develop department heads and their teams. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and excellence. Guest Experience: Drive a guest-centric culture, ensuring exceptional service at every touchpoint. Actively engage with guests to gather feedback and implement improvements. Financial Management: Collaborate with the leadership team to achieve financial goals and maximize revenue. Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost control. Strategic Planning: Support the General Manager in developing and executing strategic initiatives. Lead key projects and programs to enhance the property’s reputation and operational effectiveness. Qualifications Must have knowledge in the following areas: hotel accounting principles hotel maintenance and repair hotel housekeeping and general cleaning associate performance management sales and marketing for rooms front office procedures yield management hotel safety and security and Food and Beverage. Post high-school coursework in hotel administration/hospitality industry acquired through accredited college or business school, seminar and workshop attendance. 2-5 years previous supervisory experience at a similar size and type of hotel required. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $80,000.00/Yr. - $90,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
