Job Title: Director of Operations

Job Description

Develop and execute strategic operational plans that align with business objectives, focusing on employee safety, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. Lead and mentor a diverse team of operations professionals, including a Production Manager, Maintenance Manager, Master Scheduler, Procurement Manager, and Warehouse Supervisor, fostering a culture of engagement and accountability. Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives across the organization, implementing continuous improvement methodologies and waste reduction programs.

ResponsibilitiesEstablish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all operational areas, developing effective countermeasures to address performance gaps.Oversee the maintenance management program, ensuring equipment reliability, preventive maintenance scheduling, and strategic capital planning.Optimize resource utilization and maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demand.Manage the ERP system utilization for operations, ensuring data integrity and leveraging system capabilities for improved decision-making.Lead change management initiatives to improve operational efficiency, including implementing new technologies and processes.Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, FDA regulations, and other relevant quality standards in manufacturing operations.Develop and manage operational budgets, including labor, materials, maintenance, and capital expenditures.Collaborate with Quality, R&D, and Customer Service departments to ensure seamless product launches and successful customer outcomes.Drive operational excellence through standard work, visual management, and structured problem-solving methodologies.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience in FDA-regulated industries (personal care, OTC drugs, pharmaceuticals, or beverage manufacturing).Proven track record of implementing Lean manufacturing principles and driving operational excellence.Demonstrated experience in maintenance management and reliability improvement programs.Strong experience in production planning, scheduling, and ERP system utilization.History of successful change management and cultural transformation initiatives.Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets and capital projects.Strong understanding of cGMP requirements and FDA regulations.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in batching, packaging, MRP systems.Knowledge in personal care, OTC drug, and beverage manufacturing.Skills in compounding tanks, filling, and packaging.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $145000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
