Brooklyn Bowl Nashville is seeking a Director of Operations. This role will report to the General Manager. The Director of Operations will provide direction in working with the staff and each manager, overseeing all front of house and back of house responsibilities alongside complete venue management. This individual will have direct supervision over fellow Operations Managers. When shift coverage is needed for Operations Managers, the Director of Operations will be the first member of the team to fill staffing gaps. This role will function as the "eyes and the ears" on the ground and must have the flexibility to adapt to different situations and to think on their feet.

Primary Responsibilities

Oversee restaurant, bar, venue and bowling operations

Assist with overseeing all administrative and operational aspects of the organization

Work closely with the General Manager, all venue Managers, Human Resources, and Administrators, to support the artistic vision and mission of Brooklyn Bowl

Assist in planning and monitoring budget, track income and spending

Work with Sales and Marketing to develop and carry out marketing, fundraising, audience development, and public relations initiatives and strategies

Coordinate with Sales and Events team on special events

Scheduling, ordering, and all operational approvals

P&L management

Point of sale system maintenance

Prepare monthly meetings for upper and lower level management

Implement standard operating plans, emergency evacuation plans and hr policies for staff and clients

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be decisive and persuasive but not be an “ego” driven individual.

The person will need to lead by example and be “hands on” with the ability to see the big picture.

The individual must be a measured thinker and have first-rate analytical skills.

The successful candidate will be a natural leader whose strengths and style complement the existing team.

This role will be a leader who can positively affect the culture, external image, and inspire performance.

The candidate should have experience in operations in an F&B or venue operations setting.

This person should share a passion for the hospitality industry, food and live music.

Compensation: Base salary and incentives will be commensurate with experience.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to move throughout the venue during the entire shift.

Must have the endurance and ability to walk between 3 - 5 miles per shift to ensure adequate observation of the assigned area.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

Must be able to verbally communicate.

Visual abilities needed for detailed paperwork and observation.

Ability to bend, twist, stoop, climb and stand to perform normal job functions.

Must be able to work in an environment with loud music and crowds for extended periods of time.

Must be able to stand for the entire shift.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attend required training sessions offered through Brooklyn Bowl Nashville.

Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.

Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the standard operation of food and beverage operations in Nashville, TN.

Takes the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.

Reports any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any staff member that they have knowledge of.
