Director of Operations - Business Development
A client in the Southern California area is looking for a Business Development Director of Operations to join their team. This candidate will oversee all proposal and contracting processes, to include leading contract negotiations, assisting in capture planning and win strategy, leading technical proposal writing, and developing proposal compliance matrixes. This candidate will essentially be responsible for running all of the behind-the-scenes operations of Business Development, apart from the actual identification of opportunities. This would include extensive proposal writing, thorough understanding of DFARS/TINA, proposal planning/scheduling, and on time proposal delivery. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years experience within Defense/Aerospace contracting and have been primarily supporting through a BD, technical writing, or capture management function.

It is strongly preferred that this candidate come from an Engineering or Technical background, and have been Business Development focused for the last 10-15 years. This role will require occasional travel to customer sites.

Pay Range: 175K-220K w/ Bonus Opportunities
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law
