About the Role: Director of Organizational Learning

As Director of Organizational Learning, this senior-level position will provide you the opportunity to shape a vision for enterprise-wide employee learning by developing statewide employee learning strategies and delivering employee training initiatives to tens of thousands of Commonwealth executive department employees. Using your extensive knowledge and experience leading and managing learning and development teams, and collaborating in large, complex and matrixed environments, you’ll leverage your creativity and knowledge of adult learning theory, social and online learning resources and learning management systems to develop and deliver impactful, innovative, engaging and accessible training solutions that form a foundation for a Commonwealth-wide culture of learning.

What You’ll Do

· Lead the design and delivery of large-scale blended employee training programs

· Oversee, manage, deliver, and improve the Commonwealth’s compliance training programs

· Define training outcomes, KPIs, process improvements, and change management needs

· Mentor, coach and inspire your learning team, using proven leadership principles

· Ensure engaging and effective learning experiences for all levels of employees

· Create and deliver dynamic and compelling presentations to advance a future vision for learning

· Communicate and drive engagement for self-directed employee learning programs

Preferred Qualifications and Experience Include:

· 10 years’ experience in senior-level leadership roles, managing progressive and innovative learning initiatives and organizational learning teams

· Demonstrated and successful management experience overseeing cross-functional teams that have defined and delivered large enterprise visions for learning

· Successful experience leading and operationalizing a world-class learning management system to engage and upskill employees, as well as to manage, deliver, and report on statewide employee compliance training

· Expertise in developing and delivering virtual and in-person training plans and programs

· Expert development and delivery of substantive presentations to executive-level audiences

· Experienced in defining and deploying measurable success metrics for training/development

· Practical use of adult learning benchmarks to define learning objectives and success metrics

· Experience working in the government, academic or nonprofit sectors is a plus

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must have at least (A) six (6) years of full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in business administration, business management, public administration, public management, clinical administration or clinical management of which (B) at least two (2) years must have been in a supervisory or managerial capacity or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions below.

Substitutions:

I. A certificate in a relevant or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required (A) experience.

II. A Bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required (A) experience.

III. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required (A) experience.

IV. A Doctorate degree in a related field may be substituted for four (4) years of the required (A) experience.
