We are seeking a full-time Director of Pastoral Care to lead the pastoral care department in serving seniors with compassionate, supportive care on the campus of Woodlake at New Hope loction where we believe that every day should be filled with comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging. Position: Full-time day hours, every 4th weekend rotation, and holiday rotation.
The Pastoral Care Director is a full member of the leadership team and provides management for all aspects of the department. This includes supervision, budget management and guidance to the Pastoral Care Department in executing spiritual care, while simultaneously providing direct spiritual care.
Location Information
Woodlake at New Hope offers a continuum of care and services available. This care center has 258 skilled nursing beds for long-term and transitional care. In addition, the Residence at Saint Therese of New Hope houses 224 independent apartments and suites for assisted living and memory care.
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an accredited Clinical Pastoral Experience, Bachelor’s in Theology, pastoral ministry program or its equivalent required.
Experience: Related experience in health care spiritual settings is required. Organizational and management experience required.
Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Interpersonal skills needed to work with distressed and anxious patients, families, and employees.
· Communication skills necessary to counsel residents, families, and employees.
· The analytical ability to assess patients’ spiritual needs and sense of well-being and find appropriate solutions to patient problems.
· Skills in management of personnel and resources in a multi-staff department. The ability to provide direction and guidance to Pastoral Care staff and volunteers.
