The Director will provide hands-on care while driving innovation in pediatric care delivery, ensuring comprehensive, patient-centered services for newborns, children, and adolescents. We do not and will not make any personnel decisions (like recruiting, hiring, job assignments, and promotions) based on age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law. https://www.nschi.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/nsch\_eeo-policy-statement-dec-2021.pdf Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Program Development: • Develop and implement strategies to enhance pediatric care delivery, ensuring alignment with the health center's mission and values. • Lead efforts to improve access to and quality of pediatric services, including expanding programs for newborns, adolescents, and other pediatric populations. • Collaborate with administrative and clinical leadership to set and achieve pediatric care goals. • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Training to train new providers in pediatric care and to ensure we have a high-quality of care. • Will also collaborate with the Director of Clinical Training to work on education material for clinical providers and nurses. • Develop and implement telehealth protocols and procedures for pediatric care at NSCH Patient Care: • Provide direct patient care, managing a diverse panel of pediatric patients. • Serve as a resource and mentor for clinical staff on best practices in pediatric medicine. • Champion evidence-based approaches to pediatric care to improve outcomes. • Operational Efficiency: • Develop and optimize electronic health record (EHR) templates, including note templates and scheduling workflows, to streamline documentation and improve care efficiency. • Design and refine appointment scheduling protocols to meet the unique needs of pediatric patients, including newborns and well-child visits. • Monitor and improve patient flow, ensuring timely access to pediatric care. Quality Improvement and Compliance: • Lead quality improvement initiatives targeting pediatric outcomes, patient satisfaction, and care delivery efficiency. • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements related to pediatric care such as quality metrics and other regulatory requires. • Utilize data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and track progress toward goals. • Collaborate with the population health team to achieve the pediatric care goals for NSCH. Collaboration and Advocacy: • Work closely with other departments, including Behavioral Health, Family Medicine, and Social Services, to provide integrated care for pediatric patients. • Serve as a liaison with community organizations, schools, and public health agencies to address broader child health needs. • Advocate for the health and well-being of pediatric patients within the health center and in the community. Requirements • Education and Licensure: MD or DO with board certification in Pediatrics; active medical license in MA • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in pediatrics; prior leadership or administrative experience preferred. • Demonstrated expertise in pediatric program development, EHR optimization, and quality improvement initiatives. • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. • Key Competencies: • Commitment to patient-centered, equitable care for diverse pediatric populations. • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration across departments. • Skilled in data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement. • Work Environment and Benefits: • Part-time position • Opportunity to work in a supportive, mission-driven environment dedicated to improving health outcomes for underserved populations.
