About the Role:

· The Director of People and Culture forms an integral part of the Hotel Leadership team who collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for the Hotel and lead the team to achieve the goals.

· The Director of People & Culture is a business leader who has proven and demonstrated experience as a People & Culture professional, and oversees all aspects of the People and Culture division including, but not limited to:

Employee Engagement & Culture

Leadership Team Enablement

Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and Talent Management

Compensation and Benefits

Employee Safety & Well Being

Employee Relations, Human Capital Management Strategies and Labor Relations

· This role is for a talented human resources professional who has a distinguished track record in the following areas:

Guiding and positively contributing to hotel and companywide initiatives.

Role modeling the highest standards of integrity and values in all business matters.

Building trust and credibility with employees and leaders

Strategic problem-solving; leveraging data and insights to resolve issues at the root.

Designing and executing People strategies that are aligned with the hotel and company business objectives.

Leading and developing talented P&C professionals, to create a high performing team that nurtures the culture and delivers on initiatives that support the property goals.

Establishing credibility and trust to effectively influence and partner with key stakeholders including Corporate P&C teams, Hotel Ownership and Asset Management and Hotel Leadership

What you will do:

The Director has three main objectives: to ensure that our employee experience always lives up to Four Seasons’ values, reputation and brand; to partner with leaders to generate high performance and drive success through People related levers – attracting, training and developing the right people to deliver world renowned service; and actively managing people-related risk - ensuring that the property is compliant both with Four Seasons standards and local employment legislative standards.

What you bring:

· The ideal candidate will have five years minimum previous employment in a Director of People & Culture position.

· A bachelor’s degree/4-year Degree is strongly preferred. Human Resources, Business Management or Hospitality background is preferable, however, not essential if applicants have previous relevant work experience.

· Working knowledge of State (LA) and local (New Orleans) Labor, Employment Laws and market.

· A proven record of leading the HR function in a complex Union environment is required with sophisticated influencing, negotiation skills and collective bargaining experience.

· Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations with third party operators and ensure successful collaboration.

· Bi-lingual in Spanish is advantageous.

· A talented HR professional with networking skills and desire to be part of local industry associations, representing the hotel in the community.

· A desire to work in a luxury hotel setting with a passion for service is essential.

· Note: Occasional travel is required to other Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts for training and development purposes.

Schedule and Hours:

· This position is a full-time position. Candidates must be able to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
