Position Summary

The Director of People Experience is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. S/he is responsible for upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct and for promoting positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and all external stakeholders. The Director of People Experience is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and enhancing the team member experience across the organization. This individual will oversee key areas of the team member experience, including learning and development, team member communications (in partnership with marketing and communications), and team member belonging (in partnership with the executive leadership team). Additionally, the Director will lead the evolution of the organization's experience platform (MyCompassus), integrating learning, communication, and belonging into a common platform to drive retention and engagement. This role will work across the organization to improve the onboarding experience for individuals and joint ventures, manage mentorship and preceptorship programs, and support the overarching organization's goals by delivering a consistent and compelling team member experience. This role leads a team of 8 experience facilitators and designers.
 


Position Specific Responsibilities

Leads the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs focused on leadership, onboarding, customer service, culture, and sales.Partners with the Clinical Excellence team and provide training creative services to meet the needs of the clinical education team.Leverages MyCompassus to design and deliver innovative strategies to enhance the onboarding experience for new hires and joint ventures, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.Collaborates with Clinical Excellence and Operations leaders to design, implement, and maintain mentorship and preceptorship programs that promote a learning culture, improve retention, and reduce time to proficiency across the organization.Partners with the Communications and Marketing team to develop and implement internal communication strategies to engage, inform, and inspire the workforce in all subjects and programs related to the People function.Acts as a central liaison within the People team to gather critical information and updates that need to be communicated to team members.Develops a deep understanding of organizational priorities and team-specific goals to ensure communications are timely, relevant, and aligned with overall objectives.Collaborates with stakeholders and the Marketing and Communications team to create, coordinate, and execute comprehensive communication plans across various channels (e.g., email, intranet, town halls, digital platforms) to ensure consistent messaging.Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of communication strategies through feedback and analytics, making data-driven adjustments to improve results.Develops, implements, and oversees the organization’s belonging strategy to promote our "Care for Who I Am" culture.Utilizes the Social Determinants of Work framework to enhance belonging initiatives and advance the social dimension of our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy.Assesses, enhances, and integrates existing belonging and social programs across Compassus and Joint Ventures to foster a sense of connection, purpose, and belonging, reinforcing our "Care for Who I Am" culture.Collaborates with leaders within the People function and across the organization to create and facilitate a cohesive listening strategy.Measures and analyzes the impact of belonging and social programs, using data to drive continuous improvement and align efforts with organizational goals.Gains comprehensive expertise in the platforms that shape the team member experience, serving as a trusted advisor to the People team and the broader organization.Partners with the People Systems team to oversee the development and enhancement of the organization’s experience platform (MyCompassus), integrating learning and engagement to drive retention and engagement results.Leverages feedback, technology, and analytics to continuously improve the platform’s effectiveness and user experience.Builds and leads a high-performing and innovative team of experience facilitators and experience designers, providing coaching, development, and guidance.Leads by influence to inspire and align stakeholders at all levels, driving engagement and commitment to shared goals without direct authority.Demonstrates authentic leadership by embodying the organizational culture, serving as a visible and trusted spokesperson for the People team, and advocating for the needs and voices of all team members.Performs other duties as assigned.


Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Ten (10) plus years in a team member experience, learning and development, or organizational development, with five (5) plus years in a leadership role.Proven ability to design and implement experience programs linked to retention and engagement outcomes.Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on team member experience integration.Healthcare industry experience is desirable but not required.


Skills

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy.


Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
