Summary:
The Director of Placement – Commercial – Middle/Large reports to the Vice President of Placement and will significantly contribute to the overall health and success of the Division by leading a high performing placement team that delivers exceptional products and services for Acrisure’s clients in deep partnership with Growth and Operations. This role serves as the standard-bearer of Acrisure’s performance culture and client-focused values.
Scope:
This role supports the prioritization and execution of the Division’s operations and makes sure the placement functions are in sync with the business and are supporting the mission of the division. The division spans the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
Essential Responsibilities:
Strategic planning and execution: Partners with the Vice President of Placement to implement and execute a comprehensive placement strategy with North American Specialty/International and our strategic and specialty carrier partners aligned with our business objectives and the needs of our clients across all industry verticals.
North American Specialty/International and Carrier Performance Management: Evaluate North American Specialty/International and carrier performance based on key metrics such as service levels, claims handling, and underwriting responsiveness, and provide feedback to carriers to drive continuous improvement.
Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with all applicable insurance laws, regulations, and carrier guidelines, staying updated on changes and communicating requirements to internal stakeholders.
Customer experience and satisfaction: Accountable for ensuring that the division’s placement offerings are accessible, user-friendly, and dependable. This involves creating winning experiences for our teams, translating to wins for our clients.
Operational excellence: Manage carrier activities, ensure efficient processes, resource allocation and adherence to established policies and procedures. Serve as a key resource and contact for carrier partners and effectively representing our organization's interests. Utilize marketing/training support from carriers. Solve complex client solutions with carriers.
Process Improvement and Technology Integration: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and streamlining, leveraging technology and innovation to enhance operational efficiency and scalability. Ensuring internal solutions and technology are being adopted and leveraged in a manner that maximizes client retention, growth and overall profitability.
Risk Analysis and Assessment: Collaborate with our risk management and underwriting teams to assess client risks and tailor placement strategies to meet specific client needs while ensuring adherence to carrier guidelines.
Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure carrier placement performance, track metrics, and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing carrier placement team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment focused on achieving departmental and organizational goals.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
Must currently hold an active property & casualty license
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the insurance and/or financial services industries
Minimum of 5 years of industry related leadership experience in insurance operations, insurance management, and/or insurance administration
Proven record of driving operational excellence and efficiency in service of dynamic client experiences
Experience supporting business development lifecycle.
Self-motivating and has the ability to motivate others to achieve and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent business and people decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities
