Leads the safety and emergency management programs for the facility. Participates in the budgeting process. Oversees major projects and renovations. Is a member of the facility's management team. Responsibilities: EDUCATION + High School Graduate + AAS Degree preferred + Stationary Engineer license required EXPERIENCE + Five (5) years supervisory experience in a long-term care, sub-acute, assisted living or senior housing facility preferred Demonstrated experience in a supervisory, administrative or managerial capacity required, preferably in a long term care facility KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY + Must possess a valid driver's license + Clean driving record as defined in the Arrests, Convictions and Criminal Record Background Check policy, HR-105-EMP + Communication skills which may be inclusive of approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness and non verbal communication + Must possess a working knowledge of heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and carpentry skills and have the ability to read and interpret blue prints + Knowledge in Federal, State and local building codes and safety regulations + Possess thorough knowledge of codes governing the operation of the facility (Health Dept, OSHA, Life Safety, etc.) + Ability to use various hands and power tools + Must be able to read, write and speak the English language WORKING CONDITIONS: Prolong sitting, standing, walking, heavy lifting, carrying Exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials subject to environmental temperature extremes Ensures coverage in buildings including on call REQNUMBER: 32985
