You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world. **A Day in the Life** **Director of PMO and Labeling** **Careers that Change Lives** The Product Development (PD) PMO Director is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and subject matter expertise to support and drive improvements in the area of schedule management, resource management, program metrics, and business process execution. This role supports the Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health Operating units, working closely with stakeholders to ensure the planning and success of the product development process (PDP), financial forecasting cycles, and governance of new product introduction (NPI) programs are compliant, consistent, and efficient. This role will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide multi-disciplined and matrixed teams to continually improve and efficiently execute business and quality system processes. In addition, this role manages the labeling organization for both NPI and post market changes. This includes guiding the team to assess relevant standards, deliver user manuals for patients and physicians, and respond to regulatory deficiencies. **A Day in the Life** + Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop, and manage projects for new product development and ongoing lifecycle management of products, processes and therapies. + Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. + Manages the new product development process which guides project management through a phase gate process. + Coordinates and facilitates regular project status reviews with senior leadership. + Monitors new product introduction/development (NPI/D) projects from initiation through delivery. + Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. + Oversees the annual planning process, working closely with finance and key stakeholders and facilitates resource supply versus demand assessment. + Develop and understand skills of employees within the organization and encourage growth and development. + Accountable for program planning and execution governance processes including but not limited to: Product Development Process (PDP). Program Review Committee (PRC), and financial/resource management operational processes. + Define and maintain metrics reporting – supporting on-time, on-budget assumptions and predictability in future planning. + Oversees the information system organization, which creates user content labeling for our products. + Works with the labeling team to determine process improvements and strategic vision. + Ensures timely completion of labeling deliverables to satisfy new product development projects and updates for fielded product. + Manages the team to ensure timely and thorough response to regulatory deficiencies involving labeling. **Must Haves** + Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of job-related experience and 7+ years of managerial experience, OR + Master’s degree with 8+ years of job-related experience and 7+ years of managerial experience **Nice to Haves** + Demonstrated people leadership skills and strong collaboration through cross-functional disciplines. + Demonstrated experience working in a regulated environment. + Demonstrated experience working in a medical device environment. + Demonstrated experience working with FDA, ISO, EN, and/or GMP standards. + Proven ability to easily adapt to multi-task and shift priorities effectively and expediently. + Proven ability to easily adapt to and master proprietary programs. + Proven ability to train and mentor others. + Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly the verbal skills necessary for communicating with multiple individuals and groups of stakeholders, often under deadline pressure. + Demonstrated involvement in process definition and improvement. **Physical Job Requirements** The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.  The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. PR) locations (USD):$187,200.00 - $280,800.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan. This leadership role is critical to oversee and coordinate project execution across all of R&D for Pelivic Health and Neuromodulation. It also manages the labeling organization, which has required deliverables for both NPI and post market.
