ABOUT THE JOB:

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Procurement Systems & Supplier Management to join our team in an innovative leadership role. This position plays a critical role in driving the standardization and efficiency of our procurement processes by overseeing all procurement-related systems, including SAP Ariba, Concur, and our commercial card management application. Additionally, the Director will lead efforts to ensure broad user adoption of these systems across the company.

As a key leader within the Procurement Team, this role also provides strategic oversight of the Supplier Management Team, fostering streamlined supplier processes, enhancing partnerships, and driving operational excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Strategic Leadership and Procurement Transformation

Serve as the strategic leader in the procurement transformation programs Lead the successful launch of a modern procurement platform to drive efficiencies and cost savings across the end-to-end procurement process. Accountable for expanding spend types efficiently managed through Ariba to increase Spend Under Management. Ensure continuous improvement and alignment of procurement initiatives with the company's vision, mission, and objectives. Provide recommendations and guidance to senior management on procurement platform decisions and procedures.

Technology and Systems Optimization

Build and maintain strong relationships with platform providers and internal stakeholders to optimize procurement systems across the company. Represent the company to platform providers, advocating for critical updates, enhancements, and bug fixes. Partner with internal stakeholders to address pain points and inefficiencies, leveraging system functionality to exceed expectations. Ensure all procurement systems comply with company standards, controls, policies, and procedures. Monitor system performance metrics to improve the user experience and drive adoption of procurement platforms.

Supplier and Stakeholder Management

Manage and maintain strong working partnerships with all strategic partners and suppliers. Support the Supplier Management Team to streamline and automate processes related to supplier interactions, including onboarding, payments, risk management, and performance monitoring. Work closely with our supplier base to enhance efficiencies in the buying process within Ariba (e.g., catalogs). Collaborate with Procurement Managers and stakeholders to reduce supply-chain risks and ensure service delivery.

Leadership and Team Development

Lead the management, mentoring, and support of the Supplier Management Team to achieve operational excellence. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Procurement Team and Supplier Management Team. Responsible for creating and tracking Procurement Team KPIs to measure and drive performance.

Compliance and Risk Mitigation

Collaborate with Risk Management and ESG teams to ensure vendors maintain certifications, insurance, and licenses appropriate for the work performed. Ensure procurement processes comply with company standards and reduce supply-chain risks through proactive management and collaboration

Operational Excellence

Partner with internal teams and platform providers to enhance system functionality and resolve inefficiencies. Work with the Supplier Management Team to address supplier-related processes such as invoicing, risk management, M&A activities, and performance monitoring. Translate and review contractual terms to identify opportunities for contract modifications and optimization. SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, + EDUCATION: Minimum 7+ years of experience in Procurement and/or Operations. Solid experience in leading, motivating, and mentoring teams Strong understanding of industry policies, standards, and recommended practices as they pertain to our business. Excellent organizational, negotiation, and networking skills. Exceptional customer service skills with both internal and external customers Strong working knowledge of the SAP Ariba procurement platform Demonstrated experience in leadership, problem solving, creativity, strategic thinking, fostering cooperation and teamwork. Excellent problem-solving skills to include quantitative and analytical analysis, course of action development, recurrence prevention and follow-up. Strong understanding of sourcing and supplier management.
