Job Title: Director of Procurement
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Director of Procurement to improve purchasing capabilities across our operations. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives, ensuring efficiency, cost control, risk management, and compliance with relevant standards.

ResponsibilitiesWork with operations leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives and strategic goals.Conduct market research and analysis to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, including assessing their financial stability, quality, and delivery performance.Implement and maintain an efficient and effective procurement system.Streamline procurement processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize delays.Identify and mitigate potential procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and financial losses.Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions.Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and ethical standards.Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across the procurement function.Track and analyze procurement spend data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction opportunities.Develop and implement strategies to maximize value and minimize costs throughout the procurement process.Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, including key performance indicators (KPIs), spend analysis, and supplier performance metrics.Analyze procurement data to identify trends, identify areas for improvement, and support informed decision-making.Essential SkillsProcurementContract managementBuyer purchasingPurchasingVendor managementCommercial contractsNegotiating contracts5+ years of procurement experienceContract negotiationVendor/Supplier ManagementAgricultureBusiness CentralFinancial analysisAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.Proven experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and best practices.Work Environment

The position is onsite from 8 am to 5 pm. This role offers room for growth and the opportunity to take ownership of all procurement within the company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00
