As a DRAM Product Engineering Director in the Embedded DRAM Engineering Group (DEG), you will lead a forward-thinking team of engineers to tackle sophisticated problems in support and development of industry-leading DRAM! The Embedded DEG group focuses primarily on Automotive, Industrial, and Consumer markets.
The Embedded DEG Product Engineering Director is responsible for driving product development of industry-leading Automotive DRAM portfolio. Product Engineering activities include launching new designs, maintaining an extensive portfolio of long-life DRAM products, and working closely with the Embedded Business Unit. You will build forward looking strategies and metrics to drive yield, quality and cost. As a Director of Product Engineering, you will need to facilitate and lead multi-functional activities across multiple global sites both in our group and with partner groups. Key partners include all Design and Product Engineering teams within DEG, Technology Development, Assembly, Test Solutions, Global Quality, Corporate Strategy, Finance and Business Units. In addition to multi-functional work, you will also lead the team to further support the effort with headcount directly allocated to your function.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead a global technical team passionate about product engineering for Automotive and other applications.Collaborate with business analytics groups and internal engineering teams to understand internal product issues and technology challenges.Ensure product roadmap plans are prioritized and resourced accuratelyEstablish consistent critical metrics for all DRAM Product Engineering activities and drive team towards achieving metricsDevelop strategies and metrics to drive, yield, quality and cost.Coordinate and lead recurring cross-functional Forums.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical or computer engineering10+ Years of Professional Experience in DRAM design & product engineering or doing competitor analysis for SRAM, NAND, NOR, or a CMOS based devices.Proven industry DRAM Experience is highly preferred.Proficiency with DRAM architecture, operation, testing, design, and process is highly preferred.Proficient in CMOS performance and reliability mechanismsExceptional written and spoken communication, project management, and organization abilitiesExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to lead a 40+ person technical team with a Growth Mindset demonstrating Servant Leadership.Experience in the Automotive industry is ideal, but not requiredSelf-motivated and enthusiasticStrong Cultural AwarenessAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
