The Mission for This Role:
As Director of Product, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare talent acquisition. Within the first 12 months, you will define and execute a product roadmap that demonstrably increases key engagement metrics (e.g. applications per job posting, partner job postings). You will launch new services to support the needs of nurses and allied healthcare professionals as well as scale our programmatic job posting business. These efforts will involve a deep understanding of user needs, market trends, and competitive offerings, and ultimately lead to measurable growth in platform usage and partner retention.
Outcomes You Will Achieve:
Drive Product Innovation and Execution: You will lead the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of high-quality features and enhancements. Specifically, you will successfully launch at least two significant new features or product improvements within the first year that expand our reach in the allied health and nursing markets. You will also work closely with our Data Science team and external vendors to drive innovation and expand the scope of AI solutions that match physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and allied health professionals to employers.
Deeply Understand Our Users (Employers, Partners and Job Seekers): You will establish and maintain a deep understanding of the needs, behaviors, and pain points of healthcare employers, specialty associations and job seekers. This will involve conducting user research, analyzing data, and collaborating closely with customer-facing teams.
Collaborate Effectively Across Teams: You will work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and partner management teams to ensure alignment and successful product delivery. You will establish clear communication channels and processes to foster effective cross-functional collaboration within the first 3 months.
Build and Mentor a High-Performing Product Team: You will mentor a talented product team currently consisting of two product management professionals.
Utilize Data to Drive Decisions: You will establish and leverage OKRs to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven product decisions. Competencies You Need to Succeed:
Proven Track Record of Product Leadership: You possess a proven track record of product leadership with 7+ years of experience leading and scaling product teams and launching successful products, ideally within a two-sided marketplace or SaaS environment.
Proven experience in the Online Recruitment Industry: We're seeking a candidate with a solid background in online recruitment, possessing a deep understanding of the dynamics between employers and job seekers. Experience within the healthcare recruiting sector is a significant advantage.
Customer-Obsessed: You have a genuine passion for understanding and solving user problems, and you have a track record of conducting user research and translating insights into product improvements.
Data-Driven Decision Maker: You are comfortable working with data, analyzing metrics, and using insights to inform product decisions.
Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: You are a strong communicator and collaborator, able to effectively influence and build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
