Director of Product Management - Hydraulic

Role Purpose:

As Director, Product Management Hydraulics in Mobile Solutions , you will lead the Hydraulic product management team globally and collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Pricing, and Operations leaders globally to drive the global OEM customer growth through new product innovation.  .

You will ensure assigned product lines are marketable, manufacturable, and profitable, and help the business achieve the vision of being the #1 hydraulic filter brand in the world.

Role Responsibilities:

Drive the Product Strategy (product fit & commercial fit) for the global market throw the development of “Product & Technology Roadmaps” as well as the Product marketing plans to win at customers.

Lead the product management team to deliver unique value propositions that solve customer problems jointly with development team targeting the right product in the right market for the right channel & price.

Initiate & execute product marketing plans jointly with marketing team targeting powerful product launches & value propositions to increase product line visibility and support lead generation, customer retention & conversion and maximize win rate.

Lead and drive Hydraulic product line growth initiative addressing the different market needs in alignment with Sales leadership. identify growth opportunities and implement product line selling strategies. And drive product strategy through APD process back through engineering.

Maintain global & regional product pricing matrixes and offer guideline to the Pricing team to ensure products are positioned in the market for optimal margins and share gain.

Provide Market insights: collect direct Voice of the Customer, Voice of the Market, and Voice of the Business research as well as the competitive landscape using various methods to discover key business drivers for innovative solutions, product development needs and business objectives in growth, profitability & share.

Provide high quality of communication, drive consistent and regular information flow across the different teams and offer communication channel between regional production facilities as well as global entity engineering and manufacturing to assist in product line decisions and new product development & introductions.

Lead initiatives as assigned, which improve profitability to reach targets as established annually. 

Support product portfolio optimization initiatives, including consolidation/rationalization, cost reduction initiatives, and process improvement support.  This includes proactive monitoring of proposed new products/projects to ensure they meet product line strategies and minimized proliferation of current product offering.

Qualifications: (to be refined on 04/12/2024)

Bachelor’s degree in: Business, Engineering, Science, Finance. 

Master’s in business administration is a plus.

10+ years of experience in Product Management

Prior experience in a strategic and management role

A good knowledge and understanding of Heavy Duty Hydraulics and OEM Heavy Duty systems is a large plus

Proven experience in the EMEA region, working with commercial, engineering and operations teams.

Experience with the US market is a plus

Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional European languages is a strong asset.
