Northrop Grumman Air Dominance Division is seeking a Director of Programs to lead its Military Aircraft programs. This position will have direct profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for a broad portfolio of programs and will partner closely with strategy and growth to capture follow-on and new business opportunities aligned with the division’s strategy.
This position will be based in Clearfield, Utah.
Core Duties and Responsibilities

This includes strategies to capture follow-on and new business opportunities within the military aircraft structures marketDevelops and participates in the annual long-range strategic planning process (LRSP)Executes multiple programs successfully by managing safety, quality, schedule, delivery, and cost (P&L responsibility) for fixed price and cost type contracts and Intercompany Work Orders (IWOs)Directs competitive proposal preparation and create customer value, aligns proposals with the division’s business and growth strategy, and provides a proper base for successful negotiations and program performanceUnderstands the need for protecting customer information protection and helps develop business strategies including the use of nondisclosure agreements and firewalls accordingly, as a merchant supplierManages contract negotiations, endorses final price and contract terms and resolves contract issuesDrives technical execution by setting program standards, enabling cross-functional support and reach across multiple sectors and divisions, effectively managing risk and opportunities, and delivering performanceOversees the development of program plans and critical milestones and meets master program plans and schedules by identifying and assessing risks, and initiating necessary corrective actionsServes as a business unit representative to customers, ensuring there is an understanding of core capabilities and provides customers with creative business and technical solutions for their requirementsProvides leadership and direction to the program team that includes coaching team members, resolving conflict, reviewing performance, and initiating process improvement and corrective actions when necessaryProvides direction to internal functional teams and ensures strategic teaming and positioning with key suppliers and subcontractorsOversees program planning and execution through applicable phases including concept, exploration, engineering development, advanced development, production, sustainment, and retirement to continuously drive resultsOur Leaders at Northrop Grumman live our values daily and encourage our teams to do the same. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined belowRelated experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions3 years in program or project leadership rolesAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the businessExperience managing programs or portfolio of programs more than $100M sales annuallyExperience with Firm Fixed Price, CPFF and IWO contractsExperience working with Military Prime and DoD customers and their partners.Understanding of the DoD acquisition and budgeting processKnowledge of business systems, including Earned Value Management, Risk and Opportunity Management, and contract managementDemonstrated experience leading managers and teams engaged in executing multiple contracts and customersDemonstrated ability to provide verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasivelyPreferred Qualifications
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance last investigated within 6 years or enrolled in continuous evaluationMaster’s degree and advanced training in program managementExperience working with high-ranking military officials, prime contractor, and commercial executives.What We Offer

Salary Range: $181,000.00 - $271,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
