About the Role:
The Director of Project Management, JAPAC, will lead/support and oversee the planning, execution, and coordination of projects and alliances within the Commercial department. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and strategic partnerships. The Director will be responsible for ensuring that commercial projects and external collaborations (alliances) align with corporate objectives, are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. The role also includes managing relationships with key external partners, such as pharmaceutical alliances and industry stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities:
Project Management:Lead and manage commercial projects from initiation through completion, ensuring all milestones, deliverables, and timelines are met.Coordinate across multiple functions (e.g. commercial, regulatory, GTO, medical affairs, legal etc) to ensure the successful execution of commercial initiatives.Monitor project status, manage timelines, and proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring all activities remain aligned with corporate objectives.Develop and manage project charters, work plans, budgets, and resource allocations relevant to drive project success.Coordinate team meeting schedules, prepare agendas and minutes, track action items and progress reports according to project management best practices.Act as the primary point of contact for key alliances, managing relationships to optimize collaboration and drive partnership success.Facilitate regular governance meetings with partners, ensuring clear communication of goals, priorities, and progress.Identify opportunities for collaboration, problem-solving, and efficiency within partnerships, ensuring all parties remain aligned and committed to mutual objectives.Monitor and report on partnership performance, creating action plans to address any issues and maximize value.Commercial Strategy SupportFacilitate cross-functional alignment on commercial strategy for new products, leveraging strong communication skills to drive decision-making.Support and facilitate commercial committee meetingsCollaborate with finance, country leadership and other cross-functional teams to gather input and create forecasts, setting clear, measurable objectives over the long term.Stakeholder Engagement:Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.Act as a liaison between commercial teams and other departments, facilitating transparency and alignment.Financial & Resource Management:Track, monitor, and report performance metrics for alliances, including revenue-sharing agreements and cost-sharing provisions.Leadership & Development:Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.Lead initiatives to improve project management and alliance management capabilities across the Commercial department.Qualification Required:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, alliance management, or commercial operations, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and partnerships with cross-functional teams.Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization processes, including clinical development, market access, product launch, and regulatory requirements.Project Management experience or similar certification is a plus.What We Offer To Our Valued Employees
