Director Project Engineering

Role:
As a Director of Projects Engineering, you will oversee major capital initiatives, optimize manufacturing systems, and spearhead the development of state-of-the-art facilities. This role is integral to advancing our strategic growth and operational capabilities across multiple sites.

 

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a multi-year capital investment strategy to enhance production capabilities and support long-term growth. Lead the design, construction, and commissioning of new manufacturing plants and equipment installations. Implement advanced systems and methodologies to improve line efficiencies, reduce costs, and drive sustainability. Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers and contractors, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. Collaborate with procurement, quality, finance, and operations teams to align projects with business objectives. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee RFP processes to secure best-value solutions. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while meeting sustainability and operational goals. Monitor and report project performance, maintaining strict adherence to budgets and timelines.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or a related discipline); advanced degree preferred. 5-10+ years managing large-scale engineering projects in food manufacturing or similar industries. Proven ability to lead high-speed packaging and process optimization projects. Strong team management and collaboration abilities, with a track record of measurable results. Exceptional problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making capabilities. Willingness to travel as needed for site visits and project oversight.
