Come and join our team at this  605-room convention center hotel in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City.  Our luxury hotel is located next to the Paycom Center(OKC Thunder),  the Oklahoma Convention Center and across the street from the 70-acre Scissortail Park.

 

The property  includes an all-day dining outlet (Seltzer's Modern Diner), an entertainment sports bar (OKC Tap House), specialty restaurant (Bob's Steak & Chop House), coffee shop (Park Grounds) and a retail outlet (RareBird Gift Shop). Additionally, guests can enjoy a Mokara Spa, fitness center and a rooftop pool and bar (CatBird Seat) complete with a fire pit, outdoor lawn and cabanas. The hotel offers 76,000 square feet of meeting and event space inclusive of a 20,000 square foot ballroom, 10,000 square foot ballroom, and a 4,200 square foot outdoor pre-function space that overlooks the park.

Job Description

To provide for the acquisition of food, beverage, and general purchases at maximum economics based on business activity. The Director of Procurement acts as a liaison between individuals in the hotel and supplier representatives in the procurement of goods and services required to achieve the objectives of each department.

Responsibilities Manage the staff of the Purchasing Department including hiring, scheduling, training and discipline.Be responsible for the security of all products in the storeroom and ensure proper receiving techniques and requisition procedures. Keep an accurate receiving log on all products.Maintain workable pars for all products in the storeroom. Ensure accurate ordering is taking place, minimizing over stocked items and spoilage while also not running out.Maintain a system for costing and extending requisitions, and formulate reports on usage per  Generate a complete and accurate inventory on the last day of each month. Use computer    generated inventory sheets that are in a logical order with updated costs. If available provide updated electronic collection devices.Create or obtain competitive bids on all products ensuring optimum quality and efficient service at the lowest price.Maintain a high level of professionalism in the storeroom including cleanliness and communication of hotel policies and events, uniforms and overall organization and consistency. Have an on-going safety program.Obtain an authorized purchase order before ordering all non-food, food and beverage products including printed material, paper goods, guest supplies, etc.Submit invoices attached to routing slips or purchase orders properly coded to the finance department of the hotel on a timely basis.Adhere to all guidelines of the management calendar including participating in employee meetings, generate weekly reminders, attend management staff meetings and variance meetings, etc.

 

 

Qualifications 2 years experience in a procurement leadership roleHospitality purchasing experience strongly preferred Above average Computer skills including MS Word and Excel.Previous experience in Birchstreet strongly preferred.Ability to stand for a long period of time, stoop, bend and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.Ability to work flexible schedule (Including weekends and holidays).Must have a strong attention to detail.Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment.Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data
