Summary/Objective The Quality Director is responsible for leading a team of quality leaders, quality auditors, technicians, and administrators in support of operational activities. Manage a team of quality managers and administrators in support of operational activities across multiple business units while implementing best practices. Adhere to established Quality Management System guidelines where provided and assist with development of new/improved QMS systems across business units they are responsible for. Collaborate with Corporate, Quality, Engineering, and document control teams to support accuracy and continuous improvement of product designs and documentation. Work with sourcing/procurement teams in the qualification of vendors, and management of corrective actions associated with vendor quality spills. Provide support to OEM and customer service & warranty departments as necessary to complete full life cycle support of relevant products. Engage in a positive manner with team members from all disciplines to ensure common goals are being met (production, material handling, lean manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, safety, maintenance, shipping/receiving, customer service, etc.) Organize, direct, and delegate tasks as necessary to lead cross-functional teams through quality response efforts. Support these efforts Occasional travel to customer locations, vendor facilities, or inter-company locations may be required. Perform other tasks or projects as designated by the Corporate Quality or Operational management teams. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time salary position, and the expected work hours are decided by the hiring manager. Travel Travel would be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required. College education a definite asset. Previous quality management experience preferred. Must be able to work closely with others to solve problems and follow-through on solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. The ability to collaborate with large teams in fast-paced, high-stress situations is required. Must be able to effectively lead a team through daily activities, with unwavering adherence to the company’s core values. Proficient with MSOFFICE (Excel, PP, Word), AX, Enovia, Tableau, NAV Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
