Summary

The Director of Quality provides technical support, manages quality control (QC) processes, ensures compliance with standards, oversees QC staffing, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the Mid-Atlantic Region and beyond. This role is key to maintaining Baker's high-quality standards and supporting project teams through proactive planning, audits, and training.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

The Director of Quality will perform the following duties in a safe, productive, and effective manner: 

Provides preconstruction, operational and regional support Manages regional QA/QC program standards Manages QC startup process and QC inspector team Performs monthly project audits and check -ins Manages pour card process regionally Manages/Works with project teams for QC-related situations Performs quality-related training support Develops best practices Develops and update OPS report library Participates in training and certifications Requirements Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or construction-related discipline and at least 15 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong technical knowledge of construction practices and quality management processes Demonstrated experience managing quality control programs, audits, and technical troubleshooting Experience in USACE, wastewater, industrial, and other specialty projects preferred Knowledge of BIM processes and electronic pour card systems Experience reading and understanding design drawings Proficient in Microsoft Suite such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint PE license preferred
