The Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for establishing and evolving the quality assurance processes and organization at Origami. The Director of Quality Assurance will be responsible for ensuring quality for the Origami Platform through effective resource management, strategic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Responsibilities Develops and executes QA strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.Manages both onsite and offshore QA teams, ensuring efficient resource allocation and alignment with project timelines.Implements best practices and methodologies to ensure the highest quality of deliverables.Identifies and mitigates risks associated with product quality and delivery timelines.Provides leadership and mentorship to QA teams, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.Oversees relationships with offshore QA vendors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and contractual obligations.Defines and applies test strategies for upcoming product releases and functionality.Improves the response time to report product defects or issues.Ensures the accuracy of the defect backlog. Analyzes and reports on product quality metrics, as well as highlighting documentation opportunities and creation. Evaluates current software and platform testing approaches and tools to identify strengths/weaknesses/opportunities.Creates long-term strategic goals for delivering excellent product quality.Builds and/or sources methodologies, processes, tools to implement consistent, automated testing.Collaborate with other departments to integrate QA processes seamlessly into the development lifecycle.Develops troubleshooting guides and FAQ resources to address common perceived defects.Analyzes and reports on product quality status.Interacts with different members to ensure successful delivery of each sprint iteration and product releaseResponsible for daily performance management of team members.Performs team member review, evaluation, and compensation processes. Provides coaching and oversight of each team member to ensure productivity and quality.Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree – Technology or relevant field of study7+ years in engineering, quality assurance, or delivery7+ years leading a QA organization and designing/implementing testing strategies, both manual and automated Experience leading both onshore and offshore quality assurance teamsExcellent leadership and communication skills.Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Experience in software development lifecycle and Agile methodologiesExperience with cloud-delivered development platform solutions / low code a strong plusPrevious experience with JIRA or similar tracking software Who We Are
