Director of Quality Assurance
Pre-Employment Requirements: We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required. Education and License Requirements: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Masters of Science in Nursing preferred. Current RN license in the State of Alabama is required. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred. Job Requirements/Qualifications: Prior experience as an Assistant Director or Director of Healthcare Quality. Minimum of 7 years nurse management experience in an acute care hospital required. Minimum of 7 years nursing experience in at least one of the following: Quality, Survey Readiness, Risk Management, Infection Control, Employee Health, and Education. Familiarity with accrediting standards, including TJC and CARF.  Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and oversight, including its concepts, practices, and procedures. Extensive knowledge of all aspects of hospital clinical operations, as relate to patient safety and quality, as well as familiarity with infection control, risk management, and regulatory affairs. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills to deal effectively with all levels of hospital staff, the public, and agencies and entities involved in this area. Excellent attention to details, highly conscientious and diligent Job Responsibilities: Ensuring quality healthcare is being administered to all patients. Oversees all aspects of the quality program, including quality measurement, external reporting, quality improvement, and high reliability. Developing, monitoring, and evaluating quality control processes. Responsible for managing risk, ensuring compliance, controlling infection, and improving overall performance. Representing quality and patient safety to the organization and other external entities. Developing and Implementing programs and initiatives to promote quality. Recognizing and addressing issues about the quality of products and/or services. Collecting and analyzing data that could impact the quality of products and services. Plays a pivotal role is the organization’s strategic planning, including but not limited to, analyzing the organizations current position, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing actionable strategies to achieve organizational goals.
