Purpose of Job:

The Director of Quality will be responsible for managing the Software Quality department. Overseeing and developing teams focused on the highest quality solutions for all APCON products which include Next-Generation Network Monitoring Switches, TAPs, software, and Monitoring tools. We seek a self-motivated individual to work closely with the Management Team, aligning quality initiatives with customer requirements to ensure consistent, high-quality product delivery on schedule.

Responsibilities:

Lead quality assurance for all APCON solutions: implementing standards across hardware, software, firmware, and manufacturingSupervise manual and automated testing for switch management software for evaluating various network traffic servicesOversee quality areas such as User Interface, system testing, mobile applications, test automation, and Design Verification Testing (DVT)Foster innovation by leading projects, including test script development and automation framework developmentInspire, challenge, and train quality assurance teams to achieve sustainable goals, fostering a collaborative and supportive environmentAssures quality in product design, validation, qualification, and resolving customer issuesReview weekly team reports, ensuring project improvements and timelines are effectively managed including embedded software, GUI, and Mobile App featuresFacilitate communication, document internal audits and quality initiatives, analyze data for improvements, and collaborate with senior leadershipBuilds and maintains positive relationships with cross-functional teams
Qualifications and Requirements: 8+ years of software/hardware integration and support experience4+ years of Management experienceStrong hands-on skills in Python, C, C++, Linux, Network Management Software, and Testing Embedded SoftwareExperience with network packet generator and analysis toolsProven ability to drive complex, on-time software product developmentStrong knowledge of System testing methodologies, processes, and standardsFundamental knowledge of Ethernet switching for layers 1-4 (preferred)Well-organized and able to handle multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Education: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in training and experience
