Director of R&D, MMS
**Job Description Summary** **Job Description** As the Director of R&D, you will manage new product development and sustaining activities across Infusion and Dispensing platforms within our MMS R&D organization. As a key strategic and technical site leader, you will lead and collaborate with R&D teams that drives business growth. You will be responsible for delivering sustainable growth within the MMS infusion and Dispensing platforms by owning and delivering on Key Business Objectives (KBO) supported by MMS R&D. You will be part of local site leadership team representing MMS R&D team. Duties & Responsibilities: + Drive and deliver on MMS R&D commitments on KBOs. + Part of local site leadership team, representing MMS R&D. + Develop and implement R&D capabilities, tools, processes, standards, and metrics, including establishment of best practices for local MMS R&D team. + Provide technical leadership, with ability to deep dive into technical issues. + Create and work in a development environment which supports both organic and inorganic development activities and partnerships. + Provide leadership and work with local functional as well as HR leaders for sustainable hiring and career development activities for local MMS R&D team. + Work with local facility management for establishing and maintaining R&D Labs supporting MMS R&D activities including V&V testing. + Managing and communicating portfolio priorities with local MMS R&D team as well as management of local functional plan with other MMS R&D leaders. Education & Experience: + Bachelor of Engineering/Science (Software, Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, Biomedical) required. Master's degree preferred. + At least 15 years of growing responsibility in R & D technical engineering roles, with extensive and successful experience in product development and a clear understanding of quality management systems. + Regulated industry experience (FDA, Automotive, Industrial, etc.) + Experience leading a team of multi-disciplinary engineers. + Project management experience for complex systems. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: + Ability to lead complex programs which are developed in partnership with design partners and technical suppliers. + Outstanding written and oral communication skills required. Experience leading global teams is a strong plus. + Ability to mentor and develop talent for current and future needs and will positively align talent decisions to strategic plans. + Demonstrated analytical, decision making, prioritization and problem-solving skills. + Strong business acuity and customer centricity. + Willingness to travel up to 10-20% (domestic and international). **Primary Work Location** IND Bengaluru - Technology Campus **Additional Locations** **Work Shift** Becton, Dickinson and Company is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
