Director of Rehabilitation Services Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to: + Implement guidelines for rehabilitation programs - physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other therapies. + Develop and carry out policies and procedures pertaining to staffing and budget + Ensure all staff members are following guidelines for patient care and safety. + Review patient cases to determine eligibility for treatment services + Monitor treatment and progress of patients. + Establish timetable for patient goals to be reached + Participate in case review with other team members to make sure the patient's plan of care is progressing as expected + Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. + Resolve escalated issues arising from operations that require coordination with other departments. + Recommend hiring of new staff members to fill vacancies in the department + Training staff member on topics such as communication skills or conflict resolution techniques.
