PURPOSE OF JOB CLASS (NATURE OF WORK) In the Department of Developmental Services this class is accountable for directing a comprehensive rehabilitation therapy program. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE Two (2) years of experience in the supervision of professional therapists or programmatic and administrative responsibility for a therapy program at the level of an Occupational Therapy Supervisor, a Physical Therapy Supervisor or a Rehabilitation Therapy Supervisor 1. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS + Incumbents in this class, if required to provide direct occupational or physical therapeutic treatment to clients, must be registered as a licensed Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist in the State of Connecticut or possess a temporary permit to practice Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy at the time of appointment. + Incumbents in this class may be required to possess a certificate in life saving from the American Red Cross.
