About Greater Lakes Mental Health

Greater Lakes Mental Health is a key component of MultiCare’s Behavioral Health Network, providing mental health and substance use disorder treatment for over 10,000 individuals annually across Pierce County. Providing services for adults, children, and families with Medicaid coverage, Greater Lakes offers 6 convenient mental health care locations including a 16-bed inpatient facility covering medically necessary voluntary and involuntary services to adults. Our experienced teams, veteran nurses, and robust training plans are designed to support your success and growth in facilitating recovery-oriented and trauma-informed treatment.

FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Mon-Fri, business hours, on call rotation two weeks per month

Position Summary

The Director of Residential Services is responsible for the strategic direction, regulatory compliance, operations, program administration and monitors budgetary objectives for multiple residential facilities. The Director provides clinical oversight and directs administrative and clinical staff, monitoring programs and staff productivity, and works with other leadership to facilitate integrated and coordinated clinical care with residential services.

Responsibilities

Provides direction and guidance to assigned staff by creating a team environment through hiring, leading staff meetings, training, recognition, evaluation and education which produces optimum work habits in accordance with MultiCare policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulationsMonitors financial goals, making adjustments in staffing levels and expenses as needed to keep departments in line with established budgetsDevelops and monitors quality systems to improve care provided in the facilities including documentation audits and environment of care roundingManages the development, operations, and safe/effective service delivery of programs including managing emergent needs of residentsMeets with other MHS staff and community agencies to develop connections that foster growth, opportunity, and continuous program improvementsDevelops and maintains internal professional relationships that foster growth, opportunity and continuous program improvements

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree – preferably in a mental health related fieldMaster’s degree in business administration or a mental health related fieldEight years of experience in performing clinical work with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) populations and two years of experience successfully creating and managing programs for SPMI populationsWashington State licensed Counselor or Social Worker

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $106,517.00 - $153,275.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
