The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Director of Retail to join our team at Yellowstone General Stores in West Yellowstone, Montana. As the Director of Retail, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a multi-store retail, grocery, and food and beverage operation. Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $104,100 – $140,500 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Oversee team members, ensuring effective staffing, training, and adherence to guest service standards Drive an exceptional in-store guest experience through strategic merchandise presentation, inventory management, and the development of a well-trained team Collaborate with the Buyer, Director of Merchandise, and local artisan suppliers to align on trends, product performance, and unique inventory opportunities Maintain strong communication with corporate retail support, stakeholders, and the National Parks Service to meet business goals, adhere to retail standards, and fulfill NPS contract requirements Support financial and operational reporting, policy compliance, and the development of retail supervisors and team members to ensure consistent performance and guest satisfaction Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding alcohol, sanitation, payroll, employment, and EEO Communication regularly with corporate retail support and VP of Retail for Parks Resorts on business and corporate standards More about you 5 – 10 years of retail operations management experience in a high volume environment with a mix of hardlines (souvenir) and softlines, some grocery is a plus. Minimum 5 years supervisory experience required. Multiple store operation experience required Some degree of experience with visual merchandising is strongly preferred Ability to train and develop team in retail stores and warehouse Effective communication and organizational skills Must be able to travel between offices in West Yellowstone and throughout Yellowstone National Park throughout the season Valid drivers license is required due to the vehicle travel from our offices into the park to visit our stores Shift details
