Monte Nido is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to lead and oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle process, ensuring that our billing, collections, and reimbursement activities are efficient, compliant, and effective. The Director of RCM will be responsible for streamlining operations, driving performance improvements, and optimizing financial performance across the organization. Responsibilities Include: Leadership & Strategy: Lead and manage the Revenue Cycle Management team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and productivity. Develop and implement strategies to optimize the entire revenue cycle, including charge capture, coding, billing, collections, and reimbursement processes. Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to ensure alignment of revenue cycle goals with organizational objectives. Revenue Cycle Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the revenue cycle, ensuring timely and accurate billing and coding for all services provided across all Monte Nido locations. Monitor and ensure compliance with all payer contracts, regulations, and industry standards, including HIPAA and insurance requirements. Identify and resolve any issues related to claim denials, rejections, and delays, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Financial Performance & Analysis: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate revenue cycle performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to drive financial results. Oversee monthly and annual revenue cycle reporting, providing insights into cash flow, accounts receivable, and payer trends. Work with the CFO and other financial leaders to forecast, track, and manage revenue cycle-related budgets and financial targets. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure the revenue cycle processes are in compliance with all regulatory and payer requirements, reducing risk and exposure to audits or penalties. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and payer policies that impact the revenue cycle. Lead internal audits and implement best practices to ensure accurate documentation, coding, and billing. Team Development & Training: Lead the recruitment, training, and development of the revenue cycle team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Provide ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and feedback to staff, supporting their professional growth and career development. Ensure staff is knowledgeable about the latest billing practices, payer guidelines, and compliance regulations. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to address any issues related to billing, coding, and reimbursement, ensuring a seamless revenue cycle experience for patients and providers. Work with IT and data teams to implement and optimize technology solutions that enhance the revenue cycle process. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Behavioral healthcare experience preferred. Certified Revenue Cycle Executive (CRCE) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred. Extensive experience managing billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement processes across multiple payer sources. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, payer guidelines, and industry best practices. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to drive performance improvements and foster a positive working environment. Strong analytical skills and experience with financial reporting and data analysis. In-depth knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, Practice Management software, and Revenue Cycle Management tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex challenges and make data-driven decisions. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to maintain a patient-centered approach while driving efficiency and financial performance.
