Our State Local Tax (SALT) practice is comprised of over 120 professionals. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and technical professional to lead our Royalty Revenue Reporting practice and to join our greater indirect tax service team. Our team provides both consulting and compliance services that helps drive value and significant savings to our clients.

Responsibilities:

Lead and develop the Royalty Revenue Reporting team to deliver compliance and consulting services through strategic hiring and mentoring
Review and evaluate filings, communicate with assigned clients, and manage the refund and compliance process on behalf of clients
Lead various royalty compliance and consulting projects involving research and writing, determination of qualifying deductions, revenue analysis, audit representation and resolution, monthly reporting, process implementation, etc.
Analyze payor data and be able to identify opportunities for prospects and clients.
Keep up to date on royalty law and judicial changes
Oversee a dynamic team’s performance and adherence to Firm polices
Lead business development activities
Develop internal relationships within the firm and help grow external branding

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; emphasis in accounting or finance
CPA, JD, or CMI certification preferred
Minimum of 15 years of related oil and gas royalty reporting and consulting required. Federal, State, and Tribal royalty experience required
Experience with multiple revenue software preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Creative problem solving and research skills - Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently - Able to handle multiple priorities, tasks and simultaneous projects
Able to provide prompt and reliable client service - Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) with intermediate knowledge of Excel
Ability to travel as needed, approximately 20%
